Tundra Tracker Foot Mounts (3D Print, DIY)
(NOT A PHYSICAL PRODUCT)
Tundra tracker foot mounts.
Includes stl file and source blender file.
Requires DIY knowledge, I don't provide detailed instructions. 💜
Resources:
Hot glue gun & Glue
Fabric (Stretchy and breathable is best)
3d printer (duh)
Scissors
Instructions:
Print as per your own settings. Infill 40% is best.
Heat glue gun up (10 minutes minimum, you want it hot)
Whilst heating, cut a piece of the fabric out approx 5.5cm by 35cm (should be 10cm longer than the circumference of your foot)
Cut another piece 2cm by 40cm (Optional ankle strap)
When glue gun is VERY hot, add a generous amount to the base of the printed tracker mount, and stick it about 3-4 cm out from the end of the first fabric strip. (Make sure to leave space to put the tightener)
Same thing with the tightener (the one with two holes) in the leftover space, just add it to the thick part of it though, and leave a tongue to shield the bottom (So the plastic doesn't touch your skin and annoy you.)
Glue your ankle strap (or sew if you're fancy) as shown in this picture. (Make sure to put it on the other side for your other foot)
It will use the same tightener as the main one for simplicity.
Poke out the two holes for the screws with something sharp.
Unscrew your tundra tracker's baseplate and screw it onto the new strap.
Cut the excess width from your tracker band so it can fit into the tightener.
Thread the main strap first into the tightener.
Thread the Ankle strap second, on the outside, as shown in the picture
Optionally, neaten up your fabric by gently rounding the corners.
Done!
Tips:
If the main strap comes loose over time, you can add some hot glue to the tightener as seen in photos to increase friction.
If you have a hot air gun you can use it to greatly increase the hot glue strength.
Add extra hot glue around the edges of the tracker and tightener, by pushing the nozzle into the fabric to get a stronger bond.
To export from the blender file, select "Base" and "Tightener" and go to export > stl. Make sure to check selected only.
